SANIMOTE | Sanitary TV Remote
Research + Design + 3D Model + Rendering
TV remotes are one of those everyday products that get handled constantly, especially in hotels, healthcare, waiting rooms and other shared environments.
For this redesign, I explored how a traditional remote could be made cleaner, simpler and easier to maintain, while also giving it a more refined product presence.
The SANIMOTE concept focuses on a streamlined form, reduced seams and crevices, simplified control zones, easy-to-clean surfaces and a more intuitive visual hierarchy. The goal was to move away from the busy, toy-like appearance of the original product and create something that feels more appropriate for both residential and commercial environments.
I developed the concept through research, industrial design, 3D CAD and photorealistic visualization, carrying the idea from the original problem through to a finished product direction.
Sometimes redesigning a familiar object isn’t about adding more. It’s about deciding what can be removed, simplified and made better.
