Alpenglow is a compact, canister-fueled table heater designed to bring visible warmth and atmosphere to outdoor settings through a modern, performance-driven form.
The design was developed around the experience of gathering outdoors after sunset, combining radiant heat, controlled flame performance, and durable construction in a portable footprint. Its proportions, materials, and detailing draw inspiration from premium outdoor equipment, creating a product that feels purposeful, rugged, and refined.
A bold CMF strategy reinforces the product’s identity through matte metal surfaces, high-contrast finishes, and durable tactile materials. The result is a precision outdoor object that feels less like decorative patio equipment and more like gear designed for repeated use.

AI played a supporting role in the development of the burner and vent system by enabling rapid exploration of airflow, flame shape, and thermal concepts. Multiple vent geometries and flame-unit configurations were generated and evaluated to study heat output, combustion behavior, and visual effect before being refined into a cohesive final design.
The result was a faster, more exploratory process that combined AI-assisted iteration with industrial design decision making.
